Give to
the Annual Fund
Your
tax-deductible contribution to the Annual Fund supports the California Science
Center's innovative programs, encourages the development
of new, engaging exhibits and helps us keep admission to
the Science Center's permanent galleries FREE, making science
learning accessible to everyone. By making a gift, you join
us in our mission to stimulate curiosity and inspire science
learning in everyone by creating fun, memorable experiences.
How
Your Contribution Helps
Annual
Fund gifts (which are separate from Membership dues) help
to support:
- FREE
admission, which helps attract one of the most diverse
science center or museum-going audiences in the nation.
- Innovative,
educational programs including the highly popular Science
Matters series, which features panel discussions on controversial
science topics that are making headlines.
- A highly
professional staff dedicated to stimulating the public’s
interest in science, particularly among those who have
traditionally been underserved.
- Professional
development for teachers in the newly renovated Wallis
Annenberg Building, housing classrooms and laboratories
for workshops and “The
Big Lab” to conduct
science experiments.
Curator
Kids Club, Learn
to Earn and E-Corps Intern programs
that provide science education, job and life-skills training
to underserved students.
- And
many more educational and outreach activities that make
the Science Center a national and international leader
in science learning.
Your support
is greatly appreciated and will make a difference.
Currently
we are developing a major exhibit expansion called World
of Ecology, scheduled to open in 2010, which will offer
guests an unprecedented fusion of hands-on science exhibits
with live animals and habitats. If you have additional
questions about the great programs and exhibits the California
Science Center offers, please explore our site or email
us. We look forward to your involvement in the Science
Center's exciting future!
